Faculty Senate Membership
Each school determines its own guidelines for voting eligibility. These are:
Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Teaching Professor, Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, Professor of Practice, Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, Research Professor; also the Dean of the Library
Tenured & Tenure Track: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor; Practice Track: Assistant Professor of Practice, Associate Professor of Practice, Professor of Practice; Teaching Track: Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Teaching Professor; Research Track: Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, Research Professor
Tenured & Tenure-Track: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor; Teaching-Track: Teaching Professor, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer; Research-Track: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor; and Professor of Practice
Tenured & Tenure Track: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor; Teaching Faculty: Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Teaching Professor and Professor of Practice
Tenured & Tenure-Track: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor; Teaching-Track: Senior Lecturer and Lecturer; and Professor of Practice

Faculty Senate Council
The Faculty Senate Council (FSC) is composed of 15 members, whose term begins on the first day of June following their election. All FSC members must be members of the Faculty Senate. Members serve staggered three-year terms.
FSC members are elected to be divisional (by school) or at-large through a Senate election.

* The five At Large Members constitute the Advisory Committee on Tenure and Academic Freedom.
15. Secretary of the Senate
16. Faculty Senate-eligible, non-tenure track teaching, research, or practice faculty.
